Endometriosis and pelvic pain

What is available?

Family Planning Tasmania delivers support for people experiencing endometriosis or persistent pelvic pain.

The service provides assessment, treatment and support through a team of health professionals including doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, dieticians, and psychological support.

Care is tailored to each person's needs, with a focus on helping people better manage their symptoms.

Who is eligible?

People from puberty to post-menopause who are experiencing symptoms of endometriosis or persistent pelvic pain.

Where is it available?

This service is available statewide through Family Planning Tasmania's clinics in Hobart (Glenorchy), Launceston and Burnie. Outreach is also available in Kingston and Oatlands.

Who can make a referral?

  • People can refer themselves by making an appointment with Family Planning Tasmania.
  • Referrals may also be made by GPs and other health professionals.

How much does it cost?

The service is free for eligible people as the service is funded by the Australian Government through Primary Health Tasmania.
