What is available?
Primary Health Tasmania has commissioned Moreton Group Medical Services to run regular mobile clinics providing primary healthcare services to people who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness, and are unable to access mainstream services.
Moreton Group has partnered with community service providers to identify people who may benefit from the mobile health clinics, and to connect them with the clinics.
Services provided include:
- routine check-ups
- treatment for common illnesses and injuries
- preventive care and health advice
- vaccinations
- prescriptions for medicine
- referrals.
Who is eligible?
This service is for people who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness, and are unable to access mainstream GP and other primary healthcare services.
How much does it cost?
This service is funded by the Australian Government. There is no cost to people using it.
Who can make a referral?
Appointments should be booked through one of Moreton Group's partnered community service organisations. Contact numbers are listed on the clinic schedule on the service website (link below).

Moreton Group delivers services from mobile health clinics in the Greater Hobart area, Launceston, Burnie and Ulverstone.
